Office of State Aid

Dear District Superintendent,

In FY2019, the Economically Disadvantaged Count for the State Aid funding formula was pulled from the October 1 Consolidated Report counts provided by the district student information system. Starting in FY2020, all data collected should only include current-year students with current-year Economically Disadvantaged forms or Free and Reduced Lunch applications that reflect the qualifications for economically disadvantaged students. The Low Income Report for Child Nutrition will NOT be used for State Aid purposes. However, schools must continue to fill out the Low Income Report as in previous years.

Please contact your student information system vendor on how to properly input this information if assistance is needed. Each student will have either a “Yes” or “No” Economic Disadvantaged value sent to the Wave. If issues still persist once the information is properly coded into your student information system, contact the Office of Data and Information Systems at 405.521.3020 or email Lakisha.Simon@sde.ok.gov or Erik.Friend@sde.ok.gov.

Questions concerning the Economically Disadvantaged Count used in the State Aid formula should contact State Aid at (405) 521-3460 or state.aid@sde.ok.gov.
