Special Education Services

Nonstandard Accommodation Applications Due

Requests must be submitted no later than February 1, 2019, by 11:59pm. Responses will be provided in the Nonstandard Accommodation Application on a case-by-case basis around March 15, 2019. Please see the instruction manual for the SSO Nonstandard Accommodation Manual found here. All requests, including documentation, must be uploaded through the SSO Nonstandard Accommodation Application.
**ELA Test Read Aloud Accommodation Requests**
Please submit all documentation as outlined in the OSTP ELA/Reading Test Read-Aloud Protocol in a combined PDF file (30 MB Max): All pages of the IEP/504, Evaluation Reports/MEEGS, PAR Administration Results (or AEM Navigator, as appropriate), OSTP ELA/Reading Test Read-Aloud Nonstandard Accommodation Protocol. Files must be named as follows: "Last name, First Name, MI NS1". Name and STN must match WAVE entry; otherwise, file review will be delayed or rejected.

       • Prior year forms will not be accepted

Secondary Transition PROFESSIONAL Development Opportunity

OSDE Office of Special Education Services will offer a transition training specifically for students with significant cognitive and support needs provided by the OU Zarrow Center. This training is designed for middle school and high school special education teachers who work with students with severe/profound disabilities.

Youth Leadership Forum (YLF)

The Developmental Disabilities Council (DDCO) is pleased to announce the 16th Annual Oklahoma Youth Leadership Forum (YLF) June 11 - 15, 2019 at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) in Chickasha, Oklahoma. The YLF is a unique leadership program for high school students with and without disabilities.
