December 2018
As we edge towards the end of the calendar year and the first half of the school year, we can benefit from taking time to reflect on what has happened so far this year. This can be done within your Professional Learning Communities (PLC), in your department, or by grade level, or as an entire faculty. Below are examples of questions to reflect on.
- What are some things you’ve accomplished and are proud of?
- What is one way that you’ve grown professionally so far this year?
- What works and doesn’t work in your classroom?
- Which student in your class do you think has shown the most improvement? Why do you think this student did so well?
- How can you increase student engagement during instruction?
- Are you meeting your students' educational needs (i.e. differentiated instruction, intervention, remediation)?
Don't forget to take some time for yourself this break! Here is a list of events happening in Oklahoma during your break; happy exploring!

Missing talking about all things education during your break? Have a story or question you want to share? Come visit Megan, Christine, and/or Shannon to share, discuss, and collaborate. We will be available during your winter break in case you want to talk about curriculum, have someone to brainstorm with, or just get out of your house and think math/science/STEM. Come visit us at our offices, or we can meet up at a coffee shop in OKC!
**If you can't get to OKC, we can also set up a Zoom Chat!**
Sign up for a time to come hang out with us (just so we know you're coming and can clear our schedules) here.

 Elementary
Frances and Rishi were given a bag of lollies. They shared them out evenly and had one left over. Just as they had finished sharing them, their friends Kishan, Hayley and Paul came along. They wanted some lollies too so the children shared them out again between all of them. This time they had two lollies left over. How many lollies could there have been in the bag?
