Child Count Update

The Child Count Certification is open. Superintendents have until EOD on October 17 to certify. Superintendents and SPED Directors should review their FY2019 child lists in Single Sign-On/SPED Child Count by the 17th to certify their data. Please ignore the validation process in the SPED Child Count application —you do not need to validate what we have uploaded for you.

Because of the data transfer issues from the Wave to EdPlan, we are instituting a formal child count appeal process to account for students completely missing from your child count report in EdPlan.  Please review the appeal memorandum for details on how to submit an appeal to add missing students to your child count report.

NOTE: Districts may only request students that do not show on your report in Single Sign-on as of Oct. 5 and do not show on your Child Count Error report. If the student is missing due to an error, you must resolve the error for the student to show. We cannot add those missing students through the appeal process. There are still 500+ outstanding errors across Oklahoma.
