Register
to attend EngageOK on the Road, OSDE’s annual summer conference for
educators, administrators and school personnel. This free training event will
offer professional development opportunities and updates on federal and state
education law.
 Licensed
professional counselors (LPCs) and licensed marriage and family therapists
(LMFTs) will earn continuing education units (CEUs) for attending. Training
points for school district encumbrance clerks and treasurers will also be
available.

NEW: Download the EngageOK Mobile App
Download
the EngageOK mobile app and gain access to session descriptions, location maps,
speaker information, session schedules and more. The app is available on both
iOS and Android.
Detailed,
step-by-step instructions on how to download the app are included below.
1. Search
for “AttendeeHub” in either the Google Play or iOS App Store, depending on your
device.
 2. Select the
CrowdCompass AttendeeHub app (look for the graphic located at left) and
install.
3. Open the app and search for
“EngageOK.” Download the EngageOK event.
4. Select “Log In” and enter your first
and last name.
5. When prompted, enter your email
address. The app will then send a verification code to the email address you
entered. Use the verification code within the app to advance.
6. The app will then prompt you with a
series of optional questions. Either answer the questions or
advance to the main app features by selecting “Next” located in the bottom
right-hand corner of the screen.

The FY19 Initial Purchase of Textbooks allocation
is now available on Single Sign-On under the “Allocation Notices” tab.
Funding
is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund and will be paid
on a monthly basis.

From
July 9 to July 20, communication between your Student Information System (SIS)
vendor and the Wave will be temporarily turned off in order to rollover the
Wave for the 2018-19 school year and upgrade software.
During
this time, the Wave website will still be available; however, State Reporting
Certification reports, Wizards, etc., will not be updated with current
information from a SIS.
Thank
you for your understanding and patience while we upgrade our processing
software.

The FY18 Grants Management System (GMS) closeout process is
now open for LEAs to start closing out FY18 federal program funds. Click

If you need to request an emergency
certification, visit OSDE’s Emergency
Certification web page for step-by-step instructions on how to complete the
request online.
Please
remember that to be a completed request, the district must first make the request, then the applicant must
apply for emergency certification. All completed requests must be
submitted at least 14 days prior to that month’s State Board
of Education meeting to be considered on the agenda.
If
a background check is required, the applicant must have a cleared certification
background check on file at the OSDE at least 7 days prior to
that month’s State Board of Education meeting to be considered that month.
If these requirements are not met,
the application will be treated as a pending request for the next month.

Driver education applications for prior-year reimbursement
are due Tuesday, September 4.

If you are no longer using Green Cards, please type in “certificate”
in the column labeled “Enrollment Card ID#” on the student roster. Please make
sure you sign each roster.

SDE receives through these reports may affect your programs and allocation
amounts.
PAST DUE
The End-of-Year Report for RSA was due June 1.
District superintendents MUST complete this report immediately if they haven’t already done so. Any district that has not completed this
report by Friday, July 20, will be turned over to their RAO.
The report is located on Single Sign-On under the RSA Survey application.

Deadline Extended: Second Window Open July 23-August 6
The TLE Qualitative Report
has been updated to include the collection of data from the Professional
Learning Focus (PL Focus) as required for ESSA documentation.
The new
columns on the report are as follows:
- Column
“HA” requests the indicator selected for the PL Focus.
- Column
“HB” confirms completion of the PL Focus in a drop-down box.
This data
collection is required for all participants in the Professional Learning Focus
during the 2017-18 school year. Each school site was required to have a minimum
of 25 percent of its certified educators participate in the PL Focus this year.

The
deadline for submitting Gifted Education Expenditure Reports (Program Code 251)
to the Gifted and Talented Education Office is August 1.
Send
completed reports to robbyn.glinsmann@sde.ok.gov.
You
will receive an electronic confirmation once you have submitted your report. Download

Deadline: August 31
All districts must submit their district and site Reading
Sufficiency Act (RSA) plans to meet requirements for the reading goal, required
assessments and reporting for the 2018-19 school year.
Annual District Reading Plans must be submitted, certified
and approved by OSDE before any RSA funding is allocated.
