Oklahoma ELA Standards Curriculum Resource Application Released

The Oklahoma State Department of Education is seeking English Language Arts educators to participate in the continued development of Oklahoma English Language Arts Standards Curriculum Resource Project. See current work at:

The Oklahoma English Language Arts Standards Curriculum Resource Project provides educators with information and tools to support instruction and develop formative assessments aligned to the Oklahoma Academic Standards for English Language Arts. 

The Curriculum Resource Project will not serve as curriculum itself but is intended to enhance the curricular resources provided by Oklahoma sites and/or districts. Resources will include the following deliverables: 

● updated, enhanced, or new Curriculum Frameworks, 

● classroom instructional suggestions and guidance, 

● enhanced ELA Lesson Units, and 

● other deliverables as determined necessary. 

Oklahoma educators will be selected through the process defined in this application to serve as Curriculum Resource Writers. All work will be conducted outside of the educator’s regularly scheduled school days and teaching contracted hours.
