Dear District Test Coordinators,
The Office of Assessments is pleased to release the Grades 3-8 & 10 English Language Arts (ELA) Test & Item Specifications for the 2016-17 Oklahoma School Testing Program (OSTP). The purpose of the Test & Item Specifications is to provide guidelines for the type of content that will be included in test items, but they do not provide an exhaustive list of what can be included. The item specifications are intended to be used by multiple audiences, including: Oklahoma educators, OSDE staff, and testing vendors.

The material in the test and item specifications is not intended to be utilized as a curriculum guide. Math Test & Item specifications will be available in the near future as well as revised Science & Social Studies documents.
