Important update for employees that enrolled in the GlobalHealth HMO plan.

The new insurance plan year began on 1/1/14 and we have received an important update for employees that enrolled in the GlobalHealth HMO plan.  The GlobalHealth Member ID cards were mailed in two different groups on 12/26/13 and 12/27/13.  If you have not received your id card at your mailing address, please contact GlobalHealth customer service at (405) 280-5600, (877) 280-5600 or www.globalhealth.com.

“There have been questions about the effective date listed on the new Member ID cards.  The system tracks the date that a member first became effective on their particular group number.  Since 2013 was the first year to offer only one plan (Standard and Alternative plans went away),  that plan became the “GlobalHealth Plan” with a brand new group number.  All returning members will reflect an effective date of 1/1/13, if that is when they began membership in the new GlobalHealth plan.  In addition, if someone was a new hire and added the plan for May 1, 2013, their effective date will reflect 5/1/13”.

Only members coming to GlobalHealth for 2014 from a different carrier will have an effective date of 1/1/14.
