Arrowhead State Park Golf Course hosted our fourth tournament on July 16. The course location was a beautiful setting by Lake Eufaula.
A shotgun start helped everyone finish by noon and avoided the extreme heat of that day, but the competition was evident when three teams scored 8 under par.
After following the handicap rules, the standings ended up with Driving Rangers finishing first, War Bears grabbing second and Bushwood Bombers coming in third. Longest Drive was captured by Richard Butcher of War Bears, and Driving Rangers’ Matt Stangl reached Closest to the Pin.

Tennis league completes season in cooler location
With triple-digit temperatures making playing outside too risky, the OKC Tennis Center graciously let us finish our last three weeks on the inside courts. Our next season begins in September and is planned to be outdoors. More information is coming soon. If interested, email thrive@omes.ok.gov.
Fall bowling league rolls out in August
For 10 weeks, Aug. 26-Oct. 28, our bowling league will roll on Friday nights starting at 6:30 p.m. at AMF Windsor Lanes on Northwest 23rd and Meridian. (As a heads-up idea for the last night, since it will be the Friday before Halloween, let’s have fun dressing up in costumes!)
The cost is $130 and can be paid out in five payments. Register as a team or an individual to be placed on a team.
