OKC- County Health Department New Information -- Removal of Referral for COVID testing

As you may be aware, testing criteria for COVID-19 has changed and with that so has our referral process. In line with the State’s request, effective immediately OCCHD will move to a “self-referral appointment” model and will no longer accept physician referrals for COVID-19 testing. We have numerous physician referrals needing appointments and we will continue scheduling those. We have seen over 1,000 people at our collection site and are working to get test results to physicians as soon as possible. This currently applies to Oklahoma County only.
