AAA bond ratings
Moody’s Investors Service and S&P Global Ratings affirmed the City’s high bond rating with a stable long-term outlook. The triple-A ratings are the highest awarded by each agency. It’s the 15th year in a row OKC achieved the highest rating. The ratings are used to price bonds the City sells to fund the bond package included in the Better Streets, Safer City infrastructure investment program. We are only one of eleven cities in the United States with a population of 690,000 or more that have triple-A ratings.

MAPS 4 arena improvements

Home fires
Cooking is the leading cause of home fires. Nearly half of reported home fires start in the kitchen. See below for fire safety tips.
- Stay in the kitchen until you're finished cooking and all heating equipment is off.
- Never cook if you're sleepy, have consumed alcohol or while taking medication that make you drowsy.
- Keep anything flammable at least three feet away from the stovetop.
- For an oven fire, turn off the heat and keep the door closed.
- When in doubt, just get out! Close the doors behind you to help contain smoke and fire. Call 911 once you're outside.
Clear your warrant
If you or someone you know has a warrant for unpaid tickets for a class “a” offense dated on or before December 31, 2020, we have good news. If your citation is eligible and can be paid in full, you can reduce your penalty to a cost similar to a ticket paid on time. You won’t be arrested or go to jail. For example, an overdue speeding ticket in warrant status could cost up to $613 to resolve -- $420 for fines, costs and fees, plus a $193 for a failure to appear charge. But it can be resolved for $155 during the penalty reduction program which is in effect through June 30, 2023. Call (405) 297-3898 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays to pay your ticket or request a hearing about financial difficulties.
