The economic crisis caused by the Coronavirus pandemic has left many Americans struggling to pay basic expenses.
The Oklahoma Access to Justice Commission and Foundation has asked ODL to share the following information to help Oklahomans struggling with rent payments or facing possible eviction.
Rental Assistance
There is emergency rental assistance available statewide through mid-November.

In the rest of the state, people should:
– if they have received a Notice to Quit or a court summons, contact oklaw.org
– if they have not received a Notice to Quit or court summons, but know they won't be able to make rent, apply at okccp.org
Eviction Moratorium
The Centers for Disese Control has declared a national moratorium on evictions through the end of the year, and it applies to almost all renters. In order for this moratorium to protect individuals, they must complete a declaration and give it to their landlord, and affirmatively present it at court if they have an eviction filed against them.
