Renewal of Prescriptive Authority Recognition
Once you have completed the renewal of your OK RN license (as applicable), you will have the opportunity to renew your APRN license(s) and its associated prescriptive authority recognition(s). To ensure the step of renewing your recognition is not overlooked, please see below for a tutorial on that renewal process:
-
The first screen that presents once you have selected to renew your APRN license is an informative instruction sheet that includes the highlighted language.
- Please note the discussion regarding the need for documentation regarding your supervising physician(s) (for non-CRNAs only) and confirmation that renewing your Rx is part of this APRN renewal process:
-
As you progress through the renewal, you will be presented with this screen on which you are able to select to renew or not renew your prescriptive authority
- If you DO wish to renew your Rx, simply review the information on this screen and in the PA Details link and then select Save and Continue at the bottom
- ONLY select the box next to the “Do Not renew this Prescriptive Authority” phrase if you do NOT wish to renew your Rx
- After you complete the renewal questions, you will be presented with the opportunity to review and edit your responses. At the bottom of that review page, you will notice the fee that is to be charged for your renewals. As stated in the instructions at the beginning of this renewal process, expect to see a renewal fee that includes $40 for each APRN license you are renewing and $40 for each prescriptive authority recognition you are renewing.
- On the subsequent payment page, you will be presented with another opportunity to review the payment breakdown.

Once you have submitted payment and uploaded Agreement(s) for all current supervising physicians, submit a Change Request and fee for any physician(s) who is no longer current. Ensure that your licenses and prescriptive authority recognition are showing as renewed in your Nurse Portal account.
If your APRN license and prescriptive authority recognition are not displaying as renewed or if you have questions, please let us know by submitting a message through the Message Center in your Nurse Portal account.
Thank you.
