Income Guidelines Annual Change

Effective April 1, FPL income guidelines will go through its annual change. Due to these changes, some employees who did not previously qualify for IO ESI may qualify, and some who previously did qualify may no longer due to now being eligible for SoonerCare.

The new guidelines will be available on the IO website April 1, but you can view them now here.

Verify Contact Information

Please verify your employer portal contact information and agent of record are updated with correct telephone numbers and emails.

Insurance Carrier Changes

Qualified Benefit Plan changes and plan effective date changes require the two-page employer application to be submitted. The contact person or business owners’ signature is required on the application.

American Indian/Alaska Native Update

Employees who are American Indian or Alaska Native (AI/AN) now have an employee share of $0. This is because AI/AN members do not have to pay a premium (317:45-9-4).

The employee share on these cases has been rolled into the state subsidy amount so there will be no extra burden on your company. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call our helpline at 888-365-3742.

Encourage Employees to Update Information

Please encourage your employees to review their information in the member portal and change anything that is not up-to-date. This may include income, address, telephone numbers or household members.

Reevaluating Eligibility

The federal government will soon require OHCA to reevaluate eligibility coverage for members, which means some may lose coverage. The expected date for this to happen is July 31.

While this date is subject to change, please make sure your employees’ case information is up-to-date and all requests for information are returned to OHCA as soon as possible.
