April 2021 - Employer News
PLEASE READ: When submitting documentation for employees, such as pay stubs or other verification information, upload to the member’s portal. Employee information uploaded to the employer portal for a member’s account will not be processed.
Due to an overwhelming number of emails received by IO on a daily basis, we are no longer able to process and respond to email inquiries and updates in a timely manner. Please access your Employer Portal at https://www.insureok-employer.org/Site/IOHome.aspx to make updates to your account or contact the IO helpline at 888-365-3742 for immediate assistance.
When an employee terminates employment, please log into the employer portal and end them on the employee listing immediately. This will reduce the amount of overpayments and need for recoupments.
When assigning QBPs, if the employee’s effective date is more than 30 days out, do not assign the QBP until the month prior to their effective date.
When physically mailing documents to us, please do not staple or paperclip the documents. Please also make sure you are submitting complete pages only. Following these guidelines will help speed up the processing time once the documents are received.
Please make sure medical plan rates submitted to IO for new groups and for renewals are the SOLD rates. Proposed rates may not match the sold rates and will cause delays in subsidy payouts.
Some IO members will be moving to SoonerCare starting July 1. Letter notices will begin in May and will inform the member if he/she is switching to SoonerCare and explain why. To read more about who will qualify for the move to SoonerCare, click here. There will be two virtual employer town halls to go over expansion details and give time for Q&A. Please watch your email for invitations!
College students on employee IO coverage that fall into the expansion income guidelines will also transition to SoonerCare on July 1.
The PHE period is being extended in 90 day increments by the federal government. The current date for extended coverage to end is set for July 31. However, we fully anticipate multiple 90 day extensions to be granted until the end of 2021. This is subject to change based on CMS guidance. |
