March 2021 - Employer News
Insure Oklahoma policy is changing regarding submission of invoices for subsidy payment. Insure Oklahoma is instituting a timely filing rule. Effective July 1, 2021, subsidy payments will not be paid on invoices six months old or older. For example, the July 2021 invoice will need to be received by January 1, 2022. Please review your files, and if you have any invoices that have not been submitted, submit them prior to June 30, 2021.
Effective immediately, in order to streamline processes and to allow opportunity for more groups and their employees to apply, groups who do not have any employees enrolled within a 12 month period will be closed out. Sending in a monthly invoice or renewal rate sheets will not keep the group open. Once closed, if an employee may qualify, the group can reapply by submitting a paper application and all supporting documents. All of the required forms can be found on our website.
To receive subsidy, groups must have a first of the month billing date through their carrier. If a group signs up for Insure Oklahoma and they are already with the carrier for a middle of the month billing, it will have to be changed before any subsidies are paid out.
Emailing questions to the insureok@okhca.org email address has a five-day processing time. There is a 21-business day processing time for documents that are attached. For expedited inquiries or resolutions, please call the helpline at 1-888-365-3742.
The PHE period is being extended in 90-day increments by the federal government. The current date for extended coverage to end is set for April 30, 2021. However, we fully anticipate multiple 90-day extensions granted by the President to extend until the end of 2021. This is subject to change based on CMS guidance. |
