Invoice for Subsidy Payments

Insure Oklahoma is instituting a "timely filing" rule for submission of invoices for subsidy payment. Beginning July 1, subsidy payment will not be paid on invoices six months or older. For example, the July 2021 invoice will need to be received by Jan. 1, 2022. Please review your files and if you have any invoices that have not been submitted, submit them prior to June 30, 2021.

Groups With No Employees Enrolled for 12 Months

Effective immediately, in order to streamline processes and to allow opportunity for more groups and their employees to apply, groups with no employees enrolled within a 12 month period will be closed out. Sending in a monthly invoice or renewal rate sheets will not keep the group open. Once closed, if an employee may qualify, the group can reapply by submitting a paper application and all supporting documents. All of the required forms can be found on our website.

Access to Information on Member's Case

Due to HIPAA regulations, information on a member’s case will ONLY be given to persons who are on the case or are an authorized representative. Being an agent of record gives access to the information on the employer account ONLY.

Public Health Emergency Extended Through Dec. 31

The public health emergency due to COVID-19 has been extended by the Federal Government once again.

Employees that were set to terminate due to any reason other than death or the member chose to close benefits will have their eligibility extended to Dec. 31, 2021. This is the current PHE end date and is subject to change based on CMS guidance.

How Medicaid Expansion Affects ESI Population

Qualified Agent Program

EXCITING NEWS! Our qualified agent program is newly redesigned and up and running. If you missed our February class, please watch your email for the invitation to the next class in April.

How to become a Qualified Agent

Being a qualified agent allows your name and company name to be listed on the Insure Oklahoma website so businesses without an agent can contact you. Any licensed agent in Oklahoma can help businesses sign up with Insure Oklahoma. However, if you want to be a qualified agent with Insure Oklahoma, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Take the three-hour Continuing Education course.
  • Receive 80% or higher on the qualified agent test.
  • Sign up three groups with Insure Oklahoma with which you are the agent of record.

We recommend all agents subscribe to our email blasts and attend Brown Bag sessions in order to stay up-to-date on information.

Qualified agents will need to attend the CE course and pass the test every 24 months to remain qualified.
