To ensure the safety of potential visitors and our employees, Oklahoma Health Care Authority's offices are open by appointment only. But we are still here to provide the help you need.
You may call the SoonerCare helpline Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 800-987-7767 (have your member ID number available to enter when you call).
The website and SoonerCare helpline should be able to take care of your needs, but if you need to set up an appointment to visit in person, please call 405-522-7300. First, press option 9, then choose option 4. Appointments can be made for Thursdays and Fridays.

May is National Asthma and Allergy Awareness Month. Allergies usually do not go away entirely, but most people can feel better with the right medication.
One of these medication options, montelukast (Singulair), had a new warning added to help patients and their caregivers understand the risks of taking this medication. The most serious risk is the possibility of suicidal thoughts or actions. Other mental health side effects are also possible. Patients and caregivers should stop montelukast right away and discuss with a health care professional if they have had behavior or mood-related changes while taking this medicine.
These may include:
irritability
bad or vivid dreams
stuttering
tremor or shakiness
depression
disorientation or confusion
restlessness
suicidal thoughts and actions
sleepwalking
memory or attention problems
feeling anxious
obsessive-compulsive symptoms
trouble sleeping
uncontrolled muscle movements
agitation, including aggressive behavior or hostility
hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not really there)
Montelukast should only be taken for allergies if other allergy medicines cause problems or do not work. SoonerCare covers many prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to treat allergies. If you have any questions about your prescription medications, please call the SoonerCare pharmacy help desk at 800-522-0114, option 4.

Although your dentist may now be seeing patients, they may not be able to see as many as they normally would. If you or someone you have been in contact with has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past two weeks, or shown any symptoms of being sick, you should not visit your dentist's office.
However, your dental provider may be utilizing teledentisty, which is a live, two-way, audio-visual, interactive encounter between the patient and provider. Call and speak with your dental provider to find out what their processes are during this time.
Here are some tips to keep your smile healthy and save you from dental emergencies due to pain and discomfort.
Prevent cavities an oral disease by:
- Brushing twice a day.
- Flossing at least once a day.
- Limiting sugar drinks and substances.
- Drink mostly water.
