Having trouble submitting pictures of your ID or yourself?
Check out the below tips to help successfully complete the process.

Online identity verification, required for all individuals filing weekly claims on UI.ok.gov, allows you to upload a picture of your ID from a scanner, as well as take a picture directly from the camera app. of your smart phone. If taking a picture of your ID, or even yourself, is something new, we've included some tips below to help you successfully complete this process. If you're unable to complete this process online, you can visit a local Oklahoma Works office for in-person verification.

If you have already verified your identity online, please disregard this email.

When uploading or taking a picture of your photo ID:

  • Ensure all edges, especially the 4 corners, are visible
  • Use a phone or digital camera that can take a clear picture
    • Ensure the picture isn't blurry or grainy in appearance
  • Take the picture in a well-lit area (natural light works best)
  • Use indirect light for your ID to avoid glare
  • Place the ID in your hand, as in the example above, to take the photo.
    • It isn't necessary to include your entire hand in the photo
    • You can also place your ID on a background that is contrasting in color.

  • Face the camera directly, and include your shoulders to the top of your head
  • Have the camera at eye-level, do not hold the camera high up or low down
  • Have a plain, single colored wall as a background
  • Ensure you are in a well lit area with no backlight
  • Do not wear sunglasses or a hat
  • If you have long hair, pull it back so that it isn't covering your face.
