The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is offering a free event Saturday, Sept. 16 from 8 a.m. to noon for the first 60 people who register.
Participants will learn wing-shooting techniques at the WMA’s newly built shooting range, learn about how to hunt Oklahoma's public land, learn about Packsaddle WMA and take a tour of the area.
Bring your family and stay for a weekend dove hunting and camp at any of the six designated primitive camping areas (this does not require registration).

With recreational shooting on the rise, the Wildlife Department is working to help meet the demand for places to shoot including the most recent range opened in June at Packsaddle WMA in Ellis County and soon to be completed range at Kaw WMA in Kay County.
