 It was a slam dunk at South Lakes Park pond in Oklahoma City yesterday where the ribbon, or in this case— the fishing line, was officially cut on the brand new Paul George Fishing Dock, which looks like a basketball court! The Paul George Foundation started working on this project with the Wildlife Department, the City of OKC and the OK Wildlife Conservation Foundation before PG made his move to the LA Clippers. George was committed to seeing it through to completion and it was very important to him to be at yesterday's dock dedication.

Rainbow trout excellent on in-line spinnerbait, PowerBait and worms around creek channels and river channel. Focus on fishing near any obstruction that produces a current break for the rainbow trout to hide behind. Gold in-line spinners have been the go to for a lot of fisherman or women this week. Rainbow PowerBait paired with a PowerBait worm have been deadly this week fished 8-18 inches off the bottom. Woolly buggers in black or olive as well as rainbow warriors or zebra midges fished below an indicator along current seems this week have produced a lot of fish as well. A few smaller smallmouth bass have been caught this week while fly fishing for trout on woolly buggers. Striped bass fishing is still not great, some striper are still being caught on live shad and by dead-sticking. Anglers should look for active feeding striper and try these two methods. Blue cats are still being caught by juglining in 40-50 ft. of water. Anglers should concentrate on river and deep creek channels.
