Nightly lane closures begin Monday on I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike near Miami and Adair

 

I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike closes nightly through May 8 near Miami

An Oklahoma Department of Transportation bridge replacement project on SH-125 near Miami in Ottawa County will close one direction of I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike nightly Sunday, April 30, through Wednesday, May 3, and again Sunday, May 7, and Monday, May 8. These closures are necessary to remove the former SH-125 bridge over I-44. Motorists can detour using US-59 and US-69 between Afton (mm 302) and Miami (mm 313). 

  • Eastbound I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will be closed from  9 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly Sunday through Tuesday nights.
  • Westbound I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will be closed from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday and again May 7 and 8.

 

I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike narrows nightly near Adair through summer 2023

I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane in each direction from mm 265 to mm 270, near SH-28/Adair (mm 269) in Mayes County, nightly beginning Monday, May 1, through summer 2023 for a pavement rehabilitation project. Drivers can expect:

  • I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Mondays through Fridays.
  • I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike will be narrowed to one lane from 10 p.m. Fridays to 9 a.m. Saturdays.
  • No work is planned on Saturday or Sunday nights.
  • Drivers should expect minor travel delays in the work zone.
