Work begins on US-169 bridge over 76th St. N. in Owasso June 6
Drivers can expect various lane closures on northbound and southbound US-169 at 76th St. N. in Owasso beginning Monday, June 6, through fall 2023 for a bridge reconstruction project. Two lanes of traffic in each direction on US-169 will be maintained during daytime hours; however, some overnight closures may reduce the highway to one lane in each direction for traffic safety purposes. Additionally, some lane closures on 76th St. N. under the bridge can be expected as part of the project.
The project is part of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation's Eight-Year Construction Work Plan to replace the two existing bridges over 76th St. N. with one wider bridge to accommodate future expansion of US-169 in Owasso.
The more than $13.6 million contract for this project was awarded by the Oklahoma Transportation Commission to Becco Contractors Inc. of Tulsa, in February 2022.
Specific lane and ramp closures will be announced in ODOT's daily Tulsa Traffic Advisory, which is available online at www.odot.org. Drivers can sign up to receive the daily Tulsa Traffic Advisory by email by visiting the website and scrolling down to "Stay Connected."
