I-235 press briefing scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, interview opportunities with ODOT officials
Members of the media are
invited to attend a press briefing today for information on the ongoing closure of
I-235 between N. 36th St. and I-44
through Tuesday morning for installation of the new railroad truss bridge
sections over the interstate. Oklahoma Department of Transportation and officials
and engineers will be available for on-site interview opportunities.

Media parking is
available on N. 50th St. just east of Sewell Ave., as shown in the
map below. Those
attending are encouraged to dress appropriately for a construction site with
safety gear and sturdy shoes. Press credentials
will be required past the barricades to park. Due to safety concerns and
railroad procedures, media drones will not be permitted in the work zone.
Additional on-site interview opportunities with
ODOT and contractor personnel will be available throughout the weekend at key
milestones of the bridge installation. These times will be announced as new information
on the progress of the work becomes available. Live stream video will be

and Facebook.
