SH-51 (Sixth St.), US-177 (Perkins Rd.) intersection narrows in Stillwater Wednesday for traffic signal installation
Intermittent lane closures will occur at the SH-51 (Sixth St.) and US-177 (Perkins Rd.) intersection in Stillwater from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday while crews complete the installation of new traffic signals. Signals will be flashing red during this work and traffic will be guided by four-way stop signs during the installation.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the intersection during this time and locate an alternate route, when possible.
Additional intermittent lane closures may be necessary after the Thanksgiving holiday to finish remaining work on new sidewalks and a retaining wall.
The $7.4 million intersection widening and bridge project on SH-51 between the Stillwater Central Railroad crossing and the US-177 (Perkins Rd.) intersection is expected to complete this winter.
