Traffic Advisory
Tuesday, July 7, 2015
I-35 traffic near Turner
Falls remains narrowed to one lane each direction
Scheduled work to stabilize the I-35
rock slide in the Arbuckle Mountains has been postponed today due to severe weather
moving into the area. A new advisory will be issued when the stabilization work
is rescheduled as it will impact traffic in the area.
Traffic movement will continue in its
current configuration of one northbound lane and one southbound lane until all
of the repair work is completed. The lanes are narrowed from US-77 at mile
marker 51 in Murray County south to mile marker 47.
Also, the southbound I-35 on-ramp from
US-77 is closed until further notice to help improve traffic flow due to its
proximity to the rock slide location. Drivers should use the southbound I-35
on-ramp from SH-7 at Davis.
The speed limit will remain reduced to
50 mph through the Arbuckle Mountains until further notice and drivers should
expect congestion and delays in the upcoming weeks. Motorists can check http://oktraffic.org for delay times.
Additionally, I-35 is narrowed to one lane in each
direction in Ardmore for ongoing bridge rehabilitation work. Drivers and truck
traffic wishing to avoid the corridor should use US-81 to the west or US-69 to
the east. See detour map below.
