During its most recent meeting, Deidre Myers briefed the Governor’s Council on “what is wealth creation” as well as key employment and workforce numbers.
Members were also briefed on the “system dashboard” approved at the last meeting.
The next meeting will be held later this summer with a date to be announced soon.
More than 400 Workforce Partners from across Oklahoma will come together for this three day conference to learn, share best practices and network. The conference will begin with opening remarks delivered by Gov. Mary Fallin followed by a panel of state system partner directors.

In February the statewide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for Oklahoma decreased two-tenths of a percentage point to 5.0%.
