Applications for Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program Open April 1

Beginning April 1, 2024, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce will begin accepting applications for the Oklahoma Innovation Expansion Program. The program will make up to $15 million in funding available to qualifying companies across the state. The application period will close on Friday, April 12 at 5 p.m.

Oklahoma ACES to Host Aerospace Career Fair at Rose State College

Oklahoma Aerospace Commerce Economic Services (ACES), a division of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, will host a free career fair for job seekers on Wednesday, March 27, at Rose State College. Some of Oklahoma’s leading aerospace companies will host recruitment booths at the career fair.

City of Seminole Receives Block Grant Award

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce announced that the City of Seminole is the recipient of a Community Development Block Grant – Economic Development Infrastructure Financing (CDBG-EDIF) for the construction of parking and access road infrastructure improvements to support the expansion of Latham Pool Products, Inc.

Green Workforce Connect

Commerce helps lower-income households save money on utility bills and increase the energy efficiency of homes while bringing jobs and economic prosperity to Oklahoma through programs like the Weatherization Assistance Program. The Green Workforce Connect platform includes detailed information on various real weatherization roles, real career stories, a career-fit quiz, blog posts, template job descriptions for organizations to use, and a way for job seekers to connect directly to local organizations that are hiring.

Infinite Composites, Inc. has been awarded a $470,748 Industry Innovation Program (formerly OARS) contract from the Oklahoma Center for the Advancement in Science and Technology (OCAST) to scale its products in both size and pressure to aid the growing hydrogen economy.
