Level 3 (Virtual) - Enhanced Watch
Due to the potential for increased wildfire activity resulting from elevated to critical fire weather conditions across a large portion of the state, the State EOC will activate to Level 3 (Virtual) Enhanced Watch at Noon today. State EOC partners are not requested to report to the State EOC at this time.

- The National Weather Service and Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry (ODAFF) are forecasting Extreme and Near Critical fire danger today through Monday.
- A strong cold front with high winds will move into Western Oklahoma throughout the day today. These winds will combine with low humidity, dry conditions, and high fuel loads to increase the risk for large fires.
- Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security personnel are predicting fire spread rates over the weekend to be between 120 and 135 feet per minute with flame lengths between 5 and 12 feet tall, depending on local conditions.
- The Oklahoma State EOC will activate virtually to Level 3 to be prepared to provide coordination of resources responding to wild fires.
- Forestry is prepositioning (2) Task Forces and (1) Overhead in Weatherford and Guthrie from 12/10 through 12/13 in order to assist with potential wild fires.
- OHP has (1) Fixed Wing Aircraft staged at Max Westheimer Airport in Norman, OK.
- State EOC personnel, Regional Coordinators, and Field Specialists are on standby for SEOC deployment.
- Local Emergency Managers are asked to contact the Duty Officer at 1-800-800-2451 to make any requests or to report any damages.
