Greetings Counselors,
In recognition of National School Counselor Week February 1-5, 2021, all of us in the Counseling and Career Development office would like to say, "THANK YOU for everything you do day in and day out for our students". I've included ASCA 2021 NSCW calendar with some fun activities at the bottom of our newsletter.
I'd also like to remind schools to make sure your course numbers are correct. With the upcoming statewide electronic transcript roll out, it's imperative that schools are using correct course codes for all students and courses including those at the Technology Center (I have attached links for the State Program codes, Course codes and what gets Academic credit within CareerTech for 2020-2021 school year). We will be sending out the updated CareerTech Course codes and CareerTech State Program codes in the near future.
As students look for financial resources for their postsecondary opportunities. I would like to encourage you to share the CareerTechs link with your students so they can see how their financial aid can be used for CareerTech Programs: CareerTech Delivers Student Aid — CareerTech (CT) - okcareertech.org
When you have a minute – do a cruise through these OCAP resources. If you have any questions regarding CareerTech course codes or CareerTech Academic questions, please reach out to me.
Sincerely,
Shawna Nord, M.Ed.
