Recycling is Back in Broken Arrow
 We're thrilled to announce that recycling in Broken Arrow has returned after several delays and much anticipation! We appreciate your patience as we awaited the reopening of the facility. We can assure you that your recyclables will no longer be hauled to the waste-to-energy plant and will instead be handled at the new Mr. Murph.

Trash Bash and Recycling Rally
 It's that time of year again where the community comes together to help beautify the City! The Trash Bash and Recycling Rally is making it's way back on April 9, 2022, at BA Events Park, located at 21101 E. 101st St. The Trash Bash is BA's litter cleanup day in which groups of people volunteer to clean up trash and debris from roads and waterways. The Recycling Rally is a recycling drop-off event for hard-to-recycle items like electronics, sharps, batteries, tires, and more.

City's Outdoor Siren System Getting an Upgrade
 Broken Arrow already boasts one of the finest outdoor warning siren systems in northeastern Oklahoma, and it’s about to get even better. The City will be acquiring ten new state-of-the-art sirens to enhance our emergency management operations, ensuring citizens can hear from all directions when a storm is in the area.

We kicked off a brand new Community Development series where we highlight the City Council's approvals of rezoning requests, conditional final plats, comprehensive plan changes, and planned unit developments. The first video from February is out on our social media pages. It discusses the proposed Broken Arrow Student Events Center, a planned 592 lot subdivision, and much more.

Bike Share Coming to BA
 This Machine, a Tulsa-based nonprofit, will launch its bike share service in Broken Arrow in the summer of 2022. The rental bikes will be fully integrated with the organization’s mobile app, seamlessly connecting residents and visitors with bike share. This Machine bikes are electric pedal assist and provide recreation, and transportation to connect the community through cycling. This Machine launched bike share in Tulsa in 2018 and has more than 200 bikes in operation currently.
