Rooster Days Returns to Traditional May Dates
The historic Rooster Days festival will celebrate its 91st year by returning to its traditional May dates. In a press conference, the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce announced the official dates for the annual four-day festival. Other updates for the festival included an entertainment lineup, payment changes, and a Where's Rosco app.
The festival will be offering a cashless opportunity this year. Visitors will be able to use credit or debit cards throughout the festival. There will also be an option for those that bring cash to convert the money into a physical card (for a $1 charge) or load a digital card onto their phone with a QR code. The carnival will still accept cash and debit/credit cards for ride coupons and wristbands.

Broken Arrow Transit Plan
On February 2, the Community Development team and engineering consultants Kimley-Horn convened a public transit meeting to explore a long-term strategy for improving passenger transportation services in the City of Broken Arrow. During the meeting, residents and stakeholders were given the opportunity to express their views, and an online survey was made accessible to the public. The information we get will be essential in recognizing the areas that require improvement and in directing our efforts to help bring BA's public transportation up to speed.

Rose District Wayfinding Signage
The City Council approved the standard design of Wayfinding Signage in the Rose District during the February 15 meeting. There is a definite need for this signage to highlight locations of public buildings and public parking lots. There will be a particular focus on public parking to bring awareness to the hundreds of FREE parking spaces in downtown.
