Aspen Ridge Development Update
City Manager Michael Spurgeon signed a construction contract that will spearhead the Aspen Ridge Development in south Broken Arrow. The construction will extend Norfolk Dr. to the east of Aspen Ave. near the Creek Turnpike for the new development that will include a Reasor's and many other businesses in the future.
"This is a very exciting day for our community and specifically south BA," said Spurgeon. "First, the Council approved the TIF (tax increment financing) for the phase 1 mixed-use development and now we have a contract to get started on the public infrastructure. It will be exciting to watch new businesses break ground later this year and early 2022. Especially the new Reasor's grocery store."
The construction was awarded to Cherokee Pride Construction, Inc. with a total bid of $2,377,674.29. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 30.
