August marks LifeRide enrollment option period
The annual enrollment period for LifeRide and the Fire/Rescue Subscription Program is Aug 1-31. How does it work?
For $5.45 per month or $65.40 annually ($7.50 per month or $90 annually outside City limits) LifeRide customers transported by a Broken Arrow Fire Department ambulance save significant amounts on ambulance bills. Monthly charges are paid as a line item on your utility bill.
After a transport, the City files with your medical insurance first and after any payments, remaining balances are written off by your LifeRide subscription. Patients without medical insurance receive a 40 percent discount on their ambulance bill.
LifeRide does NOT cover bills for transports by other ambulance services. Visit LifeRideBA.org for more information.
BAFD also offers a Fire/Rescue Subscription Program for residents outside City limits but in the Fire Department’s response area. These calls for service are normally charged $700 per hour per truck for fire/rescue services. However, with the $90 annual subscription ($150 if combined with LifeRide), these charges are not billed after filing with insurance.
Visit BrokenArrowOK.gov/FireRescueSub for more information.
For additional assistance on LifeRide or the Fire/Rescue Subscription Program, call 918-259-6595 or email liferide@brokenarrowok.gov. This enrollment period only applies to residents wishing to change their enrollment status.

BA achieves Film Friendly Community Certification
With recent production successes, including hosting portions of the 2021 Academy Award winning film “Minari” as well as the faith-based film “When Will Jesus Return,” the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO) announced that the City of Broken Arrow has achieved Oklahoma Film Friendly Community certification becoming the second community in the state to be designated "film friendly."
This distinction shows filmmakers that Broken Arrow is fully prepared to support any productions that want to use our beautiful city as a backdrop.
“Broken Arrow is ready to help productions visualize their plans,” said Visit Broken Arrow Tourism Director Lori Hill, who serves as the city’s film liaison. “The community as a whole looks forward to throwing open the doors to make movie magic possible and highlighting everything BA has to offer.”
