Larger than a Brita
The Distribution Department with the help of the Water Plant Maintenance will be working to replace the filter media in the large filters at the Water Plant. What is that exactly, it's the portion of the filtering system that separates unwanted particles from the substance being filtered. The six filters are each 36" and consist of layers of varying sizes of stone, sand and andesite. Two are complete and work will continue to replace the remaining four.
