2025 2nd Quarter Sales and Use Tax Rate Changes
Rate Changes Effective April 1, 2025
We want to inform you of upcoming sales and use tax rate changes, effective April 1, 2025. The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) passed a permanent 0.5% sales tax rate increase for all of Franklin County and portions of Fairfield, Union, Licking, and Delaware Counties within the COTA district.
Please see the breakdown below for the updated sales and use tax rates, effective April 1, 2025:

Delaware County:
- COTA District (96): Increasing from 7.5% to 8.0%
- Non-COTA District (21): No change; remains at 7.0%

Fairfield County:
- COTA District (93): Increasing from 7.25% to 7.75%
- Non-COTA District (23): No change; remains at 6.75%

Franklin County:
- Countywide (25): Increasing from 7.5% to 8.0%

Licking County:
- COTA District (94): Increasing from 7.75% to 8.25%
- Non-COTA District (45): No change; remains at 7.25%

Union County:
- COTA District (98): Increasing from 7.5% to 8.0%
- Non-COTA District (80): No change; remains at 7.0%
