MUNICIPAL NET PROFIT TAX
FILING DEADLINE REMINDER

This message is a friendly reminder to all municipal net profit tax (MNPT) practitioners and taxpayers that the return for taxpayers with a June fiscal year-end is due October 15, 2024. Please note: this due date is for taxpayers filing without an extension.

Taxpayers who have opted in for centralized filing with the Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) are required to file and pay the MNPT electronically via the Ohio Business Gateway at gateway.ohio.gov or through Modernized e-File. To submit the annual tax filing through Gateway, use the option labeled ODT Centralized Filing – Municipal Net Profit Tax. Please do not submit tax returns to the municipality.
