Summer crisis program still available
The Summer Crisis Program can help qualifying Ohioans keep their homes cool when it's hot outside.
From now until September 30, program participants can receive a payment to assist with electric utility bills, central AC repairs, and AC unit and/or fan purchases.

OPSB approves construction of solar project in Fairfield County
The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) has approved an agreement allowing Eastern Cottontail Solar, LLC to construct a 220-megawatt solar-powered electric generation facility in Walnut Township in Fairfield County.
The Eastern Cottontail Solar facility will consist of large arrays of photovoltaic modules, commonly referred to as solar panels, secured on a single-axis tracker racking system. The project will occupy 898 acres within a 1,550-acre project area and will include associated facilities such as access roads, underground collection lines, inverters, and a substation.
Eastern Cottontail Solar must adhere to 64 conditions designed to minimize potential impacts during the construction and operation of the facility.

Spot a scam before it happens

Unfortunately, scam season never stops â all year long, scammers try to impersonate your utility to swindle you out of your hard-earned money.
Just remember these simple tips:
âYour utility company does not want you to pay your bill with a gift card. âYour utility company will not threaten you with disconnection over the phone. âYour utility company will not solicit door-to-door or attempt to gain access to your home without an existing appointment.
