$70,000 in damage prevention grants awarded

This month, the PUCO awarded nearly $70,000 in utility damage prevention grants.

“Excavation damage is a leading cause of injuries and fatalities related to underground utility infrastructure,” stated PUCO Chair Jenifer French. “Ohio law requires all Ohioans to have underground utility lines marked before any digging or excavation and these grants will assist in raising awareness on how to stay safe.”

Grant funding is available to assist in public awareness programs, training or other incentive programs to reduce the number and severity of underground utility damage.

Docketing upgrade

Upgrade to e-filing

Users of the PUCO's Docketing Information System (DIS) will now see an enhancement to the e-filing process.

Those who access the system to file documents in cases will see a new option on step 2 of the process. Filers will be able to choose from a drop-down menu “Party Type for this Filing.” This will assist in better designating what party type for whom you are filing for. This will also include an enhanced search criteria for existing parties with the ability to add new ones.

Learn more about this update and other docketing info here.
