(COLUMBUS) - Ohio Investigative Unit Agent-in-Charge Erik G. Lockhart was promoted to senior enforcement commander on November 22, 2020, by Colonel Richard S. Fambro, Patrol superintendent. Senior Enforcement Commander Lockhart transferred from the Athens District Office to the Central Office in Columbus. Due to guidance to avoid large gatherings, we have been unable to hold a traditional promotion ceremony in over a year. Today, we are recognizing all of our sworn officers and professional staff who have been promoted since March 2020 in a virtual ceremony.
Senior Enforcement Commander Lockhart began his state career in May 2000. He received his Ohio Police Officer’s Training Academy certification in September of that year and was assigned to the Athens District Office as an enforcement agent. In November 2006, he was promoted to assistant agent-in-charge of the Athens District Office. As assistant agent-in-charge, he also served in the Columbus District Office. In March 2012, he was promoted to agent-in-charge of the Athens District Office. As agent-in-charge, he also served in the Columbus District Office.
Senior Enforcement Commander Lockhart completed basic and advanced Police Executive Development Program through Pennsylvania State University’s Justice and Safety Institute in 2008. In 2009, he graduated from Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command. In 2008, Senior Enforcement Commander Lockhart received a Bachelor of Science degree in administration of criminal justice from Mountain State University
