COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed a felony drug charge against a Michigan man after a traffic stop in Sandusky County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 50 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of heroin and 7 grams of marijuana worth approximately $3,500.
On December 4, at 2:30 p.m., troopers stopped a rented 2020 Hyundai Elantra with Ohio registration for a speed violation on the Ohio Turnpike. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause searched revealed the contraband.
The passenger, Djuan Hall, 43, Detroit, was incarcerated in the Sandusky County Jail. Hall was charged with possession of cocaine, a first-degree felony, and a minor misdemeanor of marijuana.
If convicted, he could face up to 11 years in prison and up to a $20,000 fine.
