Troopers seize $84,000 worth of marijuana in Cuyahoga County

COLUMBUS – Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers filed felony drug charges against an Ohio woman after a traffic stop in Cuyahoga County. During the traffic stop, troopers seized 60 pounds of marijuana worth approximately $84,000.

On February 25, at 11:08 p.m., troopers stopped a 2013 Dodge Caravan with Ohio registration for speed and marked lanes violations on Interstate 90. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the contraband.

The driver, Hatiah Moore, 29, of Willoughby, was charged with possession and trafficking in marijuana, both second-degree felonies.

If convicted, she could face up to 16 years in prison and up to a $30,000 fine.

A photo of the seized contraband is available for download on the Patrol’s website at www.statepatrol.ohio.gov
