Special Edition: OhioMHAS Insider, Engaging our Workforce
Team OhioMHAS,
Over the last five months, I’ve held a series of staff listening sessions to understand your work and how we, as an organization, can continue to improve. In early April, more than 1,100 OhioMHAS employees completed an anonymous, 16-question employee survey. That’s nearly 50% of all OhioMHAS employees!
Thank you! Your ideas and feedback are creating a more collaborative culture, stronger leadership practices, and continual improvements to the safety of our hospital environment.
The survey overview and dashboard reveal that the majority of OhioMHAS employees find a sense of personal accomplishment in their work, understand how their roles contribute to our mission, feel comfortable sharing their opinions, and feel valued as a member of the department.
But we can do even better. Your thoughtful and honest feedback has helped us identify opportunities to continue to improve your work experience.
- OhioMHAS will soon hold its first Supervisor Symposium, a 17-module primer on the fundamentals of people leadership.
- We recently realigned our programs and roles to create logical workstreams that empower you to collaborate and lead from your position.
- We continue to expand top-priority initiatives to strengthen the safety of our hospital environment.
- We are revitalizing the core values of the DeWine-Husted Administration. These core values will play an integral part of our culture and how we carry out our day-to-day work.
- Finally, continual employee engagement is a critical component of our future success. Look for more information to come about the creation of a new Employee Engagement Committee.
As always, I want to hear from you. Please continue to share your ideas with me, your supervisor, and your team. Together we will create a phenomenal place to work!
Best, LeeAnne
