The Next Generation MyCare Program Rolls Out in More Counties
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) continues its statewide expansion of the Next Generation MyCare program in Ross, Vinton, Highland, Pike, Jackson, Gallia, Brown, Adams, Scioto, and Lawrence counties! From now until August 1, the program will continue to roll out across the state. The program coordinates your Medicaid and Medicare benefits, providing you with one care team, better transportation options, more in-home providers, and shorter wait time for prior authorizations.
What does this mean for you?
-
Eligible members in these counties may start receiving benefits through a Next Generation MyCare plan right now. When your benefits begin depends on whether – and when – you select a plan or are automatically assigned one.
-
If you selected a plan before June 1, you are now receiving care through your selected plan.
-
If you did not select a plan before June 1, you will be automatically enrolled in a plan for your Medicaid benefits. You should receive a letter from ODM with more information about your plan and its start date.
-
If you want to get your benefits through a Next Generation MyCare plan sooner or change your plan, contact the Ohio Medicaid Consumer Hotline at 800-324-8680. You cannot begin receiving care through a MyCare plan ahead of the date the program becomes available in your county.
-
If you are eligible for the MyCare Ohio Waiver, you will start receiving services through the waiver once your plan starts.
-
Once you are enrolled with your plan, you should receive a new member ID card and other information explaining your benefits.
-
You can keep seeing your current doctors for a limited time after you start receiving care through the program. After that transition period ends, you’ll need to make sure your doctor is in your plan’s network.
