Dear Providers,
Behavioral Health Policy is informing Community Behavioral Health Providers (MITS PT 84 and 95) of new guidelines regarding supervisor pricing.
Beginning July 1, 2025, providers will need to add the HP or HT modifier to a fee for service (FFS) claim to receive reimbursement at the supervisor rate.

HP Modifier: For a service rendered by a supervised trainee/assistant under supervision of an MD/DO, PSY, CNS, CNP, or PA.

HT Modifier: *For a service rendered by a supervised trainee/assistant under supervision of an LISW, LIMFT, LPCC, LICDC (SUD only), or Lic school PSY.
Supervisor pricing is allowed for the following service codes.
*ODM expects that providers will render services and supervision in accordance with their licensing board and within their scope of practice.
Claims submitted on or prior to June 30 will be reprocessed to pay within supervisor pricing guidelines, so there is no need for providers to resubmit these claims.
Please begin using the HP and HT modifiers for claims submissions beginning July 1.
