Ohio Medicaid’s behavioral health team has a new email address for policy questions. It is BHPolicy@Medicaid.Ohio.gov, and it’s already open for business! This new mailbox allows Ohio Medicaid to dedicate resources to reviewing and responding to your policy questions about the state’s behavioral health programs, services, or initiatives.
In addition to introducing the new policy mailbox, Ohio Medicaid is disabling the BH-Enroll@medicaid.ohio.gov email address on November 1. This mailbox was created in 2018 to support providers during Ohio’s behavioral health redesign and is no longer needed. Behavioral health providers interested in enrolling with Medicaid can visit the Medicaid provider enrollment page.
If you haven’t visited Ohio Medicaid’s behavioral health website, you’ll see it has been updated. On October 6, we transitioned Ohio Department of Medicaid’s official state site, taking advantage of the features available as an InnovateOhio platform. You can still key in our former URL (www.bh.medicaid.ohio.gov) to access provider updates, or you can find us under the “Resources for Providers” tab at www.medicaid.ohio.gov.
In addition to sporting a new look and feel, we’ve made it simpler for members to find information about behavioral health services by introducing Behavioral Health under the “Families & Individuals” tab. More information about Medicaid behavioral health policy is available at ODM’s recently updated Behavioral Health Policy website, www.BH.medicaid.ohio.gov. The new site features updated content and continues to include many helpful resources for behavioral health providers and stakeholders that were available on the previous website.
