Greetings, Friends!
This week has been filled with many productive meetings for Representative Click. He continues to ensure that District 88 has the things they need as we head into the holiday season. Let’s take a look at what’s new in the Heart of it All!
This week, Representative Click joined the Ohio Department of Natural Resources at the official opening of the Scenic Sandusky River Access Point south of Tiffin. This event marks the opening of the new river access on the Sandusky River, giving Sandusky a new place to enjoy nature and the beauty of District 88. The Division of Natural Areas and Preserves and the Division of Wildlife were both there to elaborate on what this new area of access will provide for the surrounding areas. Representative Click discussed the value of the legislature's investment in H2Ohio and the importance of investing in our natural resources, such as Lake Erie and the Scenic Sandusky River. Representative Click was happy to see this new investment in our district!
Property taxes have been at the forefront of everyone's mind, especially Representative Click’s. That is why he joined his colleagues in voting for $4 billion in property tax relief while simultaneously lowering your income taxes. He also voted to eliminate sales tax abatements for data centers and wrote House Bill 646 to hold data centers accountable. This bill passed the House unanimously, and Representative Click was honored to support this legislation.
As we look forward to this next week, please remember that your voice and vote matter! When we vote, we vote for the next generation and the preservation of our great nation. If you would like more information, please visit vote.ohio.gov.
There have been continuous conversations around the statehouse about Flock Cameras, and as always, Representative Click is ahead of the issue by introducing timely legislation. Recently, Representative Click introduced House Bill 1011 - the 1984 No More Act. House Bill 1011 will create a 12-month moratorium on Flock cameras and their use to ensure that the legislative body has the needed time to pass regulations and implement comprehensive legislation. Representative Click is proud to introduce this necessary legislation.
This week marked the 10th Anniversary Celebration for Frozone’s Ice Cream in Tiffin. This establishment has become a local favorite and will continue to provide a family-friendly environment for Tiffin and the surrounding towns. The Felton Family invested in downtown Tiffin by starting this business, and Representative Click is happy to see this establishment celebrate this milestone.
The Seneca County Collaborative Awards took place this week, and we are so thankful for their continual investment in Seneca County. This celebration marks the one-year anniversary of the Seneca County Collaborative’s investment in downtown Tiffin, and Representative Click is incredibly thankful for all the work they have done. Please join us in congratulating all of the recipients of the awards!
