Greetings, Friends!
This week has been extremely productive for Representative Click. He has had many meetings in district and was called back into session to help constituents with the rising gas prices. Let’s take a look at what’s been Clickin’ this week!
Representative Click had the honor of attending the SheDig event at the Ohio Operating Apprenticeship Training Facility this week. SheDig gives junior and senior girls a hands-on experience with heavy machinery for a day, in order to see if this could be a career fit for them. Opportunities like this provide valuable exposure to career pathways previously unknown. Representative Click was happy to see the incredible work that this organization does for young women!
The House and Senate met for session this week to bring invaluable legislation forward that will temporarily suspend Ohio’s State Gas Tax for 90 days, providing real relief to Ohioans as fuel costs continue to rise. This will provide Ohioans with $725 million in relief leading into the holiday season.
“If your family is like mine, every dollar counts. When you are standing at the pump watching the numbers climb, you are going to see them climb a little bit slower over the next 90 days. Because of the action we took today, there will be more money in your pocket over the holiday season,” said Representative Click.
The First Step Domestic Violence Services hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for its new satellite office in Tiffin, Ohio. First Step has continually gone above and beyond in helping to protect and save survivors of domestic violence. Through the opening of this new office, they will be expanding their scope of protection in order to help more survivors. They provide vital resources for District 88, and Representative Click was proud to attend this outstanding event.
Representative Click also had the privilege of attending the Deckers Furniture Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony this week. At the event, Representative Click had the opportunity to meet with local leaders and constituents who will benefit from this new building and established business. We are thankful for strong community businesses like these!
