Introducing: Private Property Protection Act
 Just this week, I introduced the Private Property Protection Act. If passed, this bill would bring huge property tax relief. Those who feel like they are always “renting their home from the government” because of property tax, or fear they will lose their homes over unpaid taxes, will be relieved. Seniors and disabled Veterans will also find relief through this legislation.
This bill would change property tax from being a lien against your property to a personal debt. Delinquent tax debt would not be resolved through the seizure of property but instead by means of personal debt collection such as garnishment of wages. Seniors sixty-five years of age and older and veterans who qualify for a pension with aid and attendance and cannot pay their property tax will have their debt abated, allowing them to remain in their homes. Welcoming New District 80 Office Staff
Many of you have been assisted with constituent needs by my outstanding office staff, Legislative Aides Justin Santa, Dylan Bowers, and intern Kaity Sharp. All three of them have moved on to other work, with Kaity finishing her degree. Justin Santa served with me from the beginning of my first term in office and was an absolute perfect match for me and the constituents of Miami and Darke County. He is no longer with my office as he has taken a new job, which is a great career move for him, doing what God has called him to do, joining the pastoral staff at a church near Columbus. He will be greatly missed.
But there is also good news that I want all my constituents to know. I have hired a new Legislative Aide who is a true rockstar, with solid credentials and lots of experience. When you call the office, it will be her delightful voice that greets you and her energetic spirit that gets you the help you need fast. Please make a plan to visit my office one day soon and stop by for a visit. We will be happy to see you and give you a tour!
House Bill 15 - Comprehensive Energy Initiative to Support Economic Growth, Improve Affordability for Ratepayers
I voted in support of House Bill 15 – a market-driven initiative that aims to boost power generation in Ohio, improve affordability for ratepayers, and increase reliability within the state’s electrical grid.
This legislation works to strengthen Ohio’s economy with reliable and affordable energy, improve energy affordability for all Ohioans, and power Ohio’s current and future energy needs for businesses.
House Bill 15 presents a comprehensive strategy for ensuring that Ohio can meet the growing electricity demand created by business growth and economic development, while also making it more affordable for Ohioans.
Miami County Mental Health Court & Mental Health Resource Fair
Great job, and thank you, Judge Wall, for the fifth annual Miami County Mental Health Resource Fair. Over 90 groups presented their services for those needing care, helping them find the path to meaningful, productive living. It is an honor to present this commendation in recognition of this excellent event.
