Greetings, Friends and Neighbors!
Representative Click has been busy meeting with constituents throughout the district, listening to their concerns, and working to strengthen our communities. Let's take a look at what's been happening around the district this week!
Representative Click met with local leaders involved in the Meadowbrook Park Historic Redwood Ballroom project. During the visit, he presented a "ceremonial check" recognizing the recent capital budget appropriation that will help fund renovations to the historic Redwood Ballroom. Representative Click is proud to support investments that preserve local history while creating lasting opportunities for future generations.
Representative Click was honored to attend the Fostoria Trackside Reception presented by America 250. The event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with local officials and constituents, while reflecting on America's rich history and bright future. Guests also enjoyed viewing commemorative locomotives and historic passenger cars from the Norfolk Southern and Union Pacific heritage fleets, making for a memorable celebration of this historic milestone. The primary draw to this event was the Steam Locomotive, affectionately named Big Boy No. 4014. This steam locomotive is the largest operating steam locomotive of its kind. There are 8 other “Big Boys” still in existence, but all reside in museums for public viewing and education. This incredible piece of machinery is a whopping 133 feet long and weighs 1.2 million pounds. It’s currently making its way across our great country in a celebratory trip to commemorate our Nation’s 250th Birthday. Representative Click was elated to see this moving piece of American History.
The photo below is the renowned caboose from which Teddy Roosevelt gave his presidential campaign speeches. Representative Click was honored to experience a part of America’s deep history of innovation.
Last week, Representative Click attended the Attica Village Council Meeting, where he presented a "ceremonial check" for the recent capital budget appropriation for the Attica Walking Trail. Representative Click also previously helped lead the way by cutting red tape and securing $800,000 in assistance for waterlines in Attica. Representative Click is proud to champion these important investments, which will expand recreational opportunities, promote healthy lifestyles, and enhance the quality of life for residents throughout Attica and the surrounding communities. He looks forward to seeing this exciting project become a reality.
